What did Chank do before he built his font empire? He ran a free music magazine called Cake. It was a big newspaper sized affair. This is my take on the Minneapolis scene circa 1993. Note the plea for help in the upper left hand corner. This image of me on a chair, over a pill strewn floor, with the noose around my neck and a gun to my head would become the first logo for No Alternative Records and spawn a bit of controversy (see Circle Jerks).
